Subject: High Hour Deere 8000R Question

SC Kansas
I'm looking at a 2010 8295R and a 2013 8235R, both with around 8,500 hours and the powershift transmissions. The 8235R has a recent overhaul and transmission work. Less than $5,000 difference in price.

The tractor will be used on a 16 row planter and grain cart. Likely less than 300 hours per year.

What would you guys recommend?

Do I assume an overhaul just around the corner for the 8295?
Would an overhaul at 8,000 hours indicate a hard previous life/abuse for the 8235?

I really like the 2010 R series and know that they are well regarded by my local techs and by users of this site but I admit that the idea of some fresh internals on the 2013 is appealing.
What kind of issues should I expect from the DPF on the 2013? Constant nagging issues or just an expensive filter replacement every 3000-5000 hours?

I know there are few nice improvements that come with the 2013 like the touch screen on the armrest display and better lighting but those aren't deal makers for me. I'm just looking for the most reliable option.

TIA
