| Gearclash - 12/3/2025 12:27 I once drew an imaginary circle around my house going 1 mile out and in that area is 27,000 hd of hogs alone. At least a third of that is only 1/4 mile away give or take a little.
What's really fun, or not if you're a hog owner, is thinking about how many different pig sources fill all of those buildings in your circle.
I've done it before for our own hog sites, it did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. It actually explains really well why we have the disease challenges we do.
