Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Recommendations I've received no more than 2 ton in one year long term NT
N (which is acidic) applied on top will react with the lime on top and you'll lose N
I'm guessing stream applied 32% would be much better than sprayed 32% or spread urea

That being said we've applied 4 tons long term NT with CC

We apply most of our N in streams between the rows ----I'm sure Y drop would be similar

AND I don't remember if year 2 it was OK to apply the second shot

Dan

Add have been amazed with long term NT 25 years+ and CC the subsoil PH starts here at 4.8 ---I've taken samples 8" to 16" have a PH of 7.0
SO the neutralizing affect of lime will move with out turning over the soil --- have not seen striation of P or K even if all is spread on top
