I use 1000 gal LP tanks that fail inspection. You should be able to buy them for little more than scrap price. A fuel pump will thread right into the existing fittings. I've seen them at construction sites on running gears, but I have mine on concrete pads.
Since they are heavier steel than regular fuel tanks, they should last for your lifetime.
