You have to get a couple counties away from Sioux Co to be safe of that.

Lots of manure travels 3-4 miles through hose.    Some goes further, all it takes is more hose and another pump.



Heck we go 5 miles with tanks. Not that big of deal. You'd be hard pressed to find a single square mile in Sioux county that doesn't have livestock on it.


20+ years ago, I was bored some winter night, added up all the beef, dairy, hog and chicken numbers here, then crop acres, made some approximations how many animal units per acre, etc.,

At that time, it was something like 50% of Sioux Counties nutrient needs were met by manure. It's gotta be alot, LOT higher now.

There is ground within a few miles of me that has NEVER seen a soybean plant.
