This past weekend, road conditions were terrible around the Twin Cities and reminded me of a southern city surprised by snow and lack of equipment.


I was down there for the holidays. The "terrible" conditions were due to several dustings of snow, and wind over the course of 4 days.

Probably a prime example of why Minnesota uses millions of tons of salt per year, nobody thinks they should have to drive on a little snow or ice, and every flurry that comes down melts and makes the roads crap.
