4.25% is under the cost of inflation. You’re going backwards.

Maybe you are going backwards but I am not. I am a saver not a spender. Inflation doesn't effect me like everyone else. I never eat out, my food comes from my land. I don't travel or take vacations. My home is my castle and my land is my empire. I have no desire to leave it. If I spend $25 a month at the grocery store i have spent too much. I have 2 bills a month. A utility bill and my phone/internet. The interest i earn on my checking and MM account pay those 2 bills each month. The interest on my CD's pays all of my other living expenses with much leftover.

So while the rest of the world bitches about how tough it is to get by I sit by the comfort of my woodstove inside my castle soaking in how good life is to me.

Married, kids, friends? Different ...So what is your plan when you run out of space to stack your money?

been divorced 20 years. raised both of my kids . both kids are married and doing very well. own their own homes. good paying jobs with good benefits. one works in the HC field the other for the government. first grand child will be born in January. 2 good friends that i hunt and fish with.
