MO | This is somewhat of a response to the post below. I wanted to go through some of the reasons why I believe the PPS bushings are better then the other options without hijacking that post.
1 - more surface area on the bushings then any other brand
2 - the flanged bushing protects the arms, adds more surface area , and keeps the top parallel arms from wanting to roll preventing from as much uneven wear
3 - the inner bushing is softer then the outter bushing for a very easy change down the road if needed
4 - the Ream version fixes the problem of bolts mainly at the support plate from working loose. The new PPS bolts in the ream kit have shoulders to keep the bolts from working loose. Instead of putting a threaded bolt in the hole it has a short shoulder that fits in the support plate that mounts to the frame. (Ive worked on several planters now in several states and there have been more planters with a few loose bolts then all of them tight)
5 - the inner bushing threads onto the bolt. This protects the threads of the bolt as well as prevents one more place for there to be slop
With that being said I machine parallel arms and install the PPS Bushings in factory Deere/Kinze/Case parallel arms. I also offer rebuilt Air bag arms and Closing Wheel Housings.
