Malta, Illinois | That is a good question and I honestly don't know. It sure seems like more people are getting cancer. The good news is that many forms of cancer have become much more treatable and in some cases curable. As someone who has been diagnosed with multiple forms of cancer it seems that screening and early detection has become a key component of treating and surviving cancer. I think in general people are more in tune to warning signs and doing something about it. There are still people who ignore what their bodies are telling them and refuse to go to a doctor. Once they finally get sick enough they have to go there is little to be done. You also hear of seemingly perfectly healthy people who see a doctor for something minor only to find out they are full of cancer and there is little to be done. A lot of it is still a mystery. I offer my prayers for everyone who has gone through or is going through cancer and for the love ones who have passed due to cancer. | |
