dunno whats with the 5.3 bashing here. lots of them around here with no issues. dad put well over 200k on 08 and 18 models, both original engine. he’s got a 24 now that’s performing just as well. i have a 22 model drove it since new, 76k on it now. aint touched it other than one injector at 12k. solid engines. lotta buddies around here drive em, they all have good luck with em. drive em right, get 18 or so mpg on top of all that too. used to be back in the day 100k a truck was done in. todays trucks arent cheap but usually will make 250k no problem unless your stupid enough to drive your truck through the river:). so i kinda dont get all this bashing going on here, lets be honest, it aint that bad…


GM quality control basically died after covid is why.
