That sounds like a great idea, to use petroleum jelly on the ends of those AA and so on Batteries.
I have to try that with my lights with magnets on them to stick them to the back of wagons and such at night on the road.
I use them and hit a bump or pot hole in the road and the light would go out.
I use Fluid Film on the battery posts every once in a while, to help stop the corrosion.
Never-seize on battery posts ??????
