Wisconsin | Yes, grape and apple are the cheaper juices to make jelly. Softer smaller fruits for jam will be more expensive. Interestingly, cranberries are tough, so easy to handle and store, but the industry expansion is limited by wetland rules, and earthmoving, so there is still a relatively limited supply, at least in the low and average production years. Of course I'm talking about juice, you don't see cranberry jelly for toast, buy you could, just need more sugar, which is the cheap part. | |
