Also good to know. The bright side with the bulbs is I could at least walk out to the lots in the dark and see if they were working from a little distance. But if I get the contraption above made up, I wouldnt need to worry about that.
HOW can you see light through an enclosed drinker fountain? Vents? They don't work in ND unless you clos the vents off and insulate the whole cabinet>.>..We get cold and windy.
My neighbor had a vented fountain with vent louvers and couldn't figure out why in a -30 degree day with 30 mph wind why his fountain froze solid with a heat lamp hanging in it......But hey, he could see the light was on... (:
I would suggest a heating element type of heat source. They don't bust like a light bulb will when condensation drops on it.
