central sask | Take better pics and measurements and then go on a website like "shelf-clips.com" and find out what design of ends and clips/pins are correct for those uprights.
Then you know what to look for when searching internet and auctions.
As for bolting 2x6 or even 2x8 to those uprights it seems to take way more wood to get even half the strength of the formed steel beams.
AND if you bump/hit the wood with a fork it has a much greater chance of breaking than the steel.
