Hastings, Florida | I live about 80 miles from there, been several times. I tell folks best place to visit in Florida. Takes all day, many different , spread out buildings. To walk in a Shuttle, see satellites being built, look at the technology, is amazing.. They list when launches are scheduled, try to be there and see one launch.
I have been on base, less than 3 miles away ( we were closest civilians) when a Space Shuttle took off . Very impressive.
