East Central Ia | I am putting up a 14’ x 36’ loft in a cold storage portion of my shed.
The building is ladder framed with end wall posts 9’ OC on top of a 4’ concrete wall.
2x12 Ledger board.
My plan is to attach a header in between the posts on top of the end wall girts to attach the ledger to between the posts. Will this be sufficient to carry the load or do I need to install vertical studs in between the girts to carry the load down to the concrete?
