We quit planting untreated seed 20+ years ago.
135,000 treated.
Seems like, the seed companies recommend about 10% extra when planting untreated seed.
I would probably plant 20% extra if we were going to plant untreated seed.
Back 30 years ago, we went with 200,000 on 7.5” rows.
Now, most all of the soybeans are on 15” rows.
Today, I would probably go with something in the 160,000 to 175,000 range, with untreated seed on 15” rows.
