west-byGod-Pa. | I think AI is a monster that ultimately will rob us of most of our freedom. In the first stages of this disability I am enduring, I drove for LYFT & Uber for two solid years: that was all I could handle physically. When it suited, I would talk to riders. Over a period of several months, I had six riders-all of whom were engaged in some part of high technology. To each I said: “ correct me if I am wrong, but it has been my observation that technology is a monster of which NO ONE is in actual control. ALL of these 6 riders responded instantly:” that is absolutely correct “. That was from 2019 to 2021: -before “ AI” had become a thing. Knowing human nature for what it is & seeing how human nature, over the course of history has had a habit of defaulting to tyranny, I just do not see a good outcome to all of this. When someone points out some good attribute to it, my response is: “ of course there are positives: that is the only way to get society to submit to the whole of it once it gains overwhelming control. | |
