north central Iowa, Hampton | last non-sticks I bought were Vollrath. Made in US. Kind of spendy but I liked them. Vollrath is a restaurant supply company, but you can find consumer sales on the internet. If your cook wants non-stick, I recommend looking at these.
I still use the Vollrath stockpot and sauce pans. Even with hand washing and as good of care as I could, the heavily used skillets started flaking a bit and sticking some after a few years. The bigger skillet / chicken frying skillet didn't get used as much and are in good enough shape to use when needed.
I decided to try stainless for the heavily used skillets (6" and 10") I found either used or New Old Stock on E bay and bought a couple of All-Clad tri-ply skillets. It took me a while to learn how to use them since I'd always had non-stick. I like the stainless and I don't think I'll ever wear it out. Once I learned how to care for and cook in it (You tube helped) they wipe clean and cook evenly.
I also found an old Wagner set of cast for my camper with the gas cooktop. I like using them as well, though acidic food is tends to eat away at the accumulated patina.
My wife doesn't like the weight of the cast and she really prefers the non-stick, so I keep non-stick around for her.
