Absolutely.(Maybe heheheh)You plan on using as irrigation source.I do believe there may be a depreciation schedule for this as in a well thats decades,but it may need a defined life..It would be more clear if you were doing pond maintenance as it is a repair and would be a direct cost much like fixing a driveway or cleaning a ditch.I did just learn,,while looking for a pond cost deduct,,that there is now a form 1062.This has nothing to do with ponds,,but allows farm /land sales subject to fed tax to be paid over 4 years with annual installments.The moments that trigger learning on here is super..
