| Well said Tomcat. It seems like when people generalize others it's always aimed towards what they perceive to be the negative side of other people. Three of my little granddaughters were left to be raised by their dad when our daughter passed away at 27 years old. Their dad wasn't a good example of being a trusted person and he certainly could not handle money well but he was always there for them, always praising them, never saying anything bad about them. Now the girls are 25, 27, and 29 years old. They all got a college education doing it on their own, two are happily married, the third one has a permanent relationship with a guy and will be married to him someday. All three of the guys are products of divorce and were raised by their mother and they are all fine responsible young men. I read Waterloo's rant and some of the responses. It looks to me like the mother being bashed has low self confidence and feels she needs to draw negative attention like the attention she is getting from Waterloo because negative attention is what she got from her parent or parents. Now the daughters are drawing negative attention. It just goes on down the family line. | |
