| It depends.
Our tower dryers (arguably more simplistic) are from the late 70's, God knows how many thousands of hours.
I just updated our big one to have it controlled by a Dryer Master last year that I can control from my phone in the combine if I need to.
All other parts we can still get, though some take creativity in searching. Ebay is VERY helpful.
That being said a friend of my FIL's just updated his not so old dryer to a newer one because of supposed parts discontinuation.
If you've got a brain and are a good electrician or have a good one, I wouldn't necessarily shy away from an older one. | |
