Personally, I'd do it however you want and tell the inlaws to kiss my ass...or something somewhat nicer. What you didn't tell us is what your wife really thinks or how bad she thinks she needs to get along. Another thing you didn't tell us is how's the inlaws estate get divided up when they are gone, and do you need to behave to their standards for your wife to get her cut. I get feeding with a mixer, it's how I feed all winter as opposed to bale wasting rings. I know lots of folks that feed with mixers, and we all seem to think it's the cheapest way to feed...with the exception of having lots of grass acres to graze on. My FIL said corn silage was the perfect cow feed, and he's not far wrong, and it's really cheap feed when corn is $4. The poster above that said you need a Plan B is completely right. Do you go on vacations? Who feeds then?
