hay millet, corn Silage, and a protein source, depending on what we have available either alfalfa or what distillers. Whole corn to the sheep and crack corn to the fat cattle. Or the cows depending on what time of year it is. This has worked really well for us for the past 65ish years. I never could stand those Hay rings. We’ve got some small time operators that run those with like 25-50 head and they’re always on top of a mountain of waste.
Just move the rings - - - no mountain anymore. |
