Some WILD predictions out there $200-2000 talk. China stood for 125000 tons Friday. I wanted a little silver a couple years ago so I bought 5 sin26 contracts @ $23 thinking I would not be much above spot to own. I plan on standing for Delivery when the contracts close. Hell of a $45000 bet
My guess if you stand for delivery and silver price is lets say 60 cents, you will have to come up with a total of $1.5 million in your account to take delivery. If you turn futures into physical or cash out you will get a 1099 on the gain from 23 cents to 60 cents.
Looks like current margin on 5 contracts would be $110,000 or $22,000 per contract.
