Generally speaking kids from single parent households tend to lack the self-confidence of dual parent kids. Lack of self confidence, no matter what the root cause, can lead to problems in kids. This comes from my wife who is a teacher and has a masters in counseling. She can see the difference in the kids she teaches too.
