| Good day!
We normally strip till but this fall, we ended up doing tillage on every acre of corn ground going to corn to eliminate the sprayer tracks from the last two wet years. We moldboard plowed about half our acres, and used a Dominator on the rest. I am trying to come up with a chemical plan to avoid running the sprayer across the ground early in the growing season as it would likely recreate the exact thing I just tried to solve - sprayer tracks. We plant on tracks and so I could shift some of my normal fertility and instead apply the herbicide on the planter in an attempt to minimize early sprayer trips. What have you used or would you recommend for a single pass application if you were gonna do it? I would expect that we will need to clean up around waterways and endrows, but overall pressure is pretty low. Waterhemp, GRW, and cocklebur coming in late would be my biggest concern although the cocklebur is more of an endrow problem.
Thanks for your input!
