Other than horsepower, there were a few different front axle sizes and types, and IIRC two different rear axle sizes... but not much else.
245, 275, 305 standard axle was 4"; 4.5" optional. These used the class 4 front axle. 335 had standard 4.5" rear axles, and a class 5 front (which is significantly bigger). Early 275 had an 8.3L (same as MX285) instead of an 8.9L Cummins. When they went to the 290/315/340 it changed to the 8.7 Iveco (def) engine. Iveco models have a little different throttle/shift/hydraulic switch console, and the hoods are much wider.
