| We have a LG938l which is the standard LG938 except bucket extends higher. Bought ours in 2018 had less than 1500 hours. Can't tell you the hours now but it is used every day. Use it mainly for loading feed truck and sometimes moving big bales. The problem with these loaders they were made by a Chinese company and then sold to Volvo. If you have a dealer close to help with service would be a real help. Our engine is Deutz and we have found Volvo dealer that has really good folks for Deutz engines. Had a trouble with fuel system but got it fixed through the Volvo guys. Don't know what you be using loader for, but it is a Tier 4I engine. Since our loader sets at the bunker we had had issues with racoons chewing wires and hoses on the top of the engine. These wires affect the regen and have had to repair and clear codes. That wasn't machine fault. Have put screen wire over the top of the engine to keep varmints away. It has a ZF transmission. Don't know much about them but for what we are using this loader for it works fine. I think those transmissions can be worked on by heavy equipment repair shops. Haven't had trouble with transmission. We did put engine heater and a transmission heating pad. The transmission heating really helps on cold winter mornings and engine has always started if plugged in. Overall, I think they are a pretty good machine. Nothing fancy, certainly a lot cheaper than other loaders. If you have someone to service, it I would probably buy another one.
Hope this helps | |
