Ok, so I do not own a big-bore, so maybe my reply is worthless, but given the “ blow-by” you are experiencing, how about a bath mat or piece of carpet rolled into a tube-rest. “ IF”, it will do, would be a cheap fix.
When I read your post, I sure knew I do not want to have my hand anywhere near the front of that cylinder when “ ye ticheroff”! Rolled up bath mat came to mind immediately. Blow-by is about the only thing I do not like about wheel guns. Well that, & recoil of something like a Smith & Wesson .500……I have seen videos of those in recoil: the video is as close as I want to get to them. I bought a new .500 when they first came out. Rounds were 3 bucks apiece for factory ammo way back then, 20 years ago. Thought I had to have one. Recoil was simply obnoxious. I couldn’t keep a scope tight. To be honest, even my .41 will hit the palms of my hands pretty hard when touching off my full power hunting loads.
