We’ve been called twice I know of in my 27 years to get a cat down. The last one was bout year ago. I’ve never seen a cat so high up a tree in my life. I’m talkin close to 50ft. Been up there 4 days poor little girl about 5 was really distraught over it. She had quit going outside cuz hearing her cat meow was devastating to her. Our ladders wouldn’t reach it by far. So my wife, who is the chief made a phone call to paid company a couple towns up with a tower truck and asked if they would come out for this little girl. They did and that was bout the happiest little girl I ever saw and I’ve raised four girls. I’m not a huge cat fan but the neighbors dog came over and chased it up there and to see this upset little girl made us a little pissy with the dog. Oh well all turned out well!

Probably been close to 50 years ago, 3/4 grown cat spent the night in the bottom fork of the big tree in my parent's yard, probably 15-20 feet up.

It was cold, relatives were arriving for Christmas dinner, cat was crying, I had to get the extension ladder to rescue it.

Friend went by, honked, later he laughed about me having to get a cat from a tree.

After a certain amount of time, if they havn't come down on their own, they're probably going to need help.
