Subject: RE: Deere, Case, Or AGCO?

middle Georgia
I have green blood and I like my older pre Def John Deere tractors. I have a 9650 deere combine and a 9996 deere cotton picker as well as John Deere planters. All that being said if I were going to buy a brand new tractor I would really consider a new Massey Ferguson. We went to a demo day at a neighbors farm a couple of months ago. Drove a new demo tractor 410hp, front duals, cvt transmission had Tremble auto steer. It was pulling a 13 shank Underferth ripper roller 16 inches deep. Pulled it 5 to 6 mph at 1700 rpm. Got in tougher soil rpms went up to 2000 then back down. They called it cruise control I think. It was very nimble for it's size. I was told that Agco bought Tremble, I assume that is correct. But you can put other systems in it. I run Agleader is the reason for asking. Supposedly that tractor was 125,000 cheaper than a comparable John Deere. It was loader out with every option possible. Extra lights, front hitch, air compressor and semi trailer hook up. My dealer is 75 miles away and would come service it for so many hours. Just my two cents worth.
