I usually use my adjustable rifle rest to lay the barrel on and gives enough room from both the forcing cone and muzzle.
I also have a Super Blackhawk Hunter that's i spent a lot of years searching for after Ruger halted production in the early '90s. Mine is only the second one I have ever seen.
I shoot 240 grain XTPs and they do a number on a deer.
