If somebody plans to give their farm to a non profit org. ( ex.church) it'd save some issues later if that person puts specific directions about it in their will. I've even seen some use a trust, where thr farm income went out equally to four ( 4) Presbyterian churches a number of years ago on that one.
But here in the op's situation, surely there's a " farm" committee or church investment committee to at least ask a few ??'s
