Pre Def and common rail which is nice. I can't tell one iota difference of power between my 275 and the 290.
One word of caution on 290 - 340 vintage tractors. They had an O-ring issue sealing cylinder sleeves. (coolant in oil). More prone to show up in northern farms, especially grain farms when sitting all winter in cold sheds. I purchased my 290 with 1200 hrs. Dealer told me before delivery my tractor was 'one of them' with defective O-rings. Factory replacement short block before taking delivery! So that turned out good. | |
