I can't think of any locally owned farms by local churches. The only ones I know about are owned by the Mormon Church one of the largest land owners in the country. Its always been rented out in my lifetime. Not sure how or who they select to rent it.
From my experience if a local church gets a farm given to them in an estate that farm is sold. They want the CASH.
