| After taking a look there are more acres owned by various churches in my county than i realized. Disclaimer- I have never had the good fortune to rent church owned ground from my church. The last piece of ground I thought i had a chance at was rented to a member over 25 years ago and he was a few years younger than I and the church board thought it would be best to go to a young/beginning farmer. That was 25 years ago and that same tenant still operates it. He would make a great santa claus if his beard had a few more white hairs than it already does. Probably paying the same rent he did when he was 30. Wish my boy could get a shot at some church ground but we must not donate enough, shake enough hands, wife doesnt bring enough pans of bars- participate in all the fakery involved in getting church ground. Land gets left to the church periodically but nobody ever really knows what it fetches for rent etc. Curious how your churches handle it?
Can some of you who have considerable faith explain how jesus would have found a tenant to cash rent his land to?
