It makes sense because some of the ideas above I was sure weren't correct.
I knew the head was mounted in the center, and I knew there was nothing but the "air pump" fastened to the head.
The tail fin broke a few years ago, and I needed to replace the check valve in the pump, so I had the head down in the shop.
The picture is not too good, but it shows the head a little better.
The pipe attached to the pump slides down in a pyramid-shaped poly holder that all the legs attach to.
