I'd try to find a 1770. Even the older 1770 not the newer 1770NT if you're on a smaller budget. The 1780 (which we had years ago) are a great at certain things but bad at lot. They are heavy and plant great in no-till conditions, but because they are so heavy and the way the wheels fold forward, they are a boat anchor when in softer conditions. They will get you stuck faster than anything you can pull with a tractor. We had a 12/23 with all 3-bushel boxes on it and it was all a 200hp MFWD magnum wanted. They also had a lot of frame and wheel issues.
