Well that definitely didn’t end as I thought it would. When they started talking on high earners using BNPL I was hoping it was related to the zero percent interest incentives for lots of those programs and the high earners were using them to gain 4% interest on their money over the payment period. Did not expect nearly 50% delinquency among that group. For the record, I do use BNPL any time there’s a 0% offer on something I was purchasing anyway. Why use my cash today when I can sit on it and keep collecting interest. Of course you have to make sure you don’t “double spend” that money but I’m not in the habit of spending every dime I have so that’s not a concern. Also helps that it’s just me and not a spouse or kids also using my account so I have total control of what happens
