Northeast Iowa | I wouldnt recommend Rural 1st
I used them for a new construction loan and the experience was very bad. They hold the mortgage currently, and while that experience isnt very bad in comparison, its still not good.
I love doing business with FCS, I do not like doing business with Rural 1st.
I think the issue you might have is that traditional mortgage lenders might not want to make a loan that cant be bundled and sold becasue its a house + ag land.
You might have to find someone to keep the loan "in house" or separate the house from the farm and have two mortgages, which isnt so bad anyway. | |
