I think they pretty much got run out by violence and corruption. There used to be a poster here that farmed in Brazil, and I think he talked about having armed guards or something.
+1. Especially if you consider “run out of the country” as basically refugee/grab a few belongings and pile the whole family in the Toyota in the middle of the night….
