WCIL | We made our own. Bought a 10" band clamp from Westfield that had 2 tabs that stick up. Auger shop or machine shop could make them too. Took 2 pieces of angle iron and bolted them down on top of the gearbox flat side up and bolted the other end to the 10" band tabs, making a bridge. Then bought a motor mount from Surplus center and mounted on the angle iron ( had to weld a couple cross pieces to catch the motor mount). Got pulleys to fit gearbox shaft and motor and sized for rpm from Surplus center.. Auger was manufactured with a coupler to remove part of the top drive shaft and the pto to convert to electric so that was relatively easy. Only thing we lacked were safety shields. Was very cheap vs factory conversion. Very minor welding was needed. | |
