Subject: Grain supply just like the Oil supply?

coast of Maine
I do not grow/sell/buy any grains.I do enjoy reading of farmers on here talk of the markets.Often blaming politics/wars etc for lower returns. All Oil is always consumed by the worlds population it never goes to waste but the price and supply is usually an ebb and flow with demand.I always assumed the same with grains.A world wide market that if one country buys exclusively from the USA growers it leaves a gap for another growing region to fill.Flowing around the world using all supply until it tightens and there is more demand. So grains are then just a commodity like petroleum ,,you producers are the ones whom take the hit as you need to produce as cheap as a 3rd world grower can.I know it has neared this commodity type market in the veg/fruit world.I have decided no more growng/selling into any commodity type market channel.I need to be 100% direct or there are no returns unless..
