| First interview I had for mechanic job, owner asked me if I had CDL? I told him no, but I had drove straight trucks hauling cows and sheep double decked in two track mountain roads. He hired me told me I needed to get CDL, sent me to cop shop with his semi and equipment trailer. Boss said if you can haul livestock you can haul equipment.
Cop went to test me driving, he saw company name on door, asked if I worked for them, I replied yes sir. Had me pull up and down a steep grade and back into cop shop. He said son, you got that truck here, so you know how to drive. Your boss is a good dude, you got to be too, you pass. | |
