Is the land crop land? Keep in mind that you can deduct for nutrient value of soil. You will need soil sampling done but that will help on some of the 30%. Also prepay for next year operating expenses. Yes that may come back to haunt you but you can take it more in bits and pieces. Also does the farm need any conservation work done. With luck you may get that 30% down to 10-15%.
