Subject: RE: Soft rock phosphate and Dr Dykstra

EC Nebraska
It's been a while since I was fully involved in that topic, but I seem to recall that Tennessee brown isn't soft rock. The soft rock comes from Idaho or Florida.

I had a few truckloads of Tennessee Brown brought up back in 2012 or 2013. Had it spread at 1,000 lbs acre. It didn't seem to improve tissue tests.

There were a number of suggestions that Idaho soft rock phosphate would have been much better, and I wouldn't have minded trying it. But I no longer have access to the spreading equipment that was used back then. And I don't feel quite as flush with excess cash as I did when corn was $7.

BAD farmer said he had contacts to get Idaho srp hauled out fairly reasonably, and I might be able to find someone to spread it if need be. But I've never pursued it.
