Floor heat is great for consistent heat, forced air for quick heat. Takes time for floor heat to heat everything up, whereas force air is just heating the air, which is quick (while everything else is slowly warming up). I have both in a garage, I use the floor heat for a constant temperature for a long time (a week/month at a time), but if I just want it warm for a day or so, once in a while, I use the forced air heat. Even with insulation under the concrete, you're heat a large 'heat sink', which takes time to heat and cool back down.
So, it comes down to what's occasional use? Once/twice e a week, once a month or twice a winter? |
