Coles County, Illinois | I'm a fan of Dell's OptiPlex line and have been running a micro that's about 8" square and 2" thick for several years. The power supply is external so much of the heat external. It's running a HDD and I rarely hear it's fan run. OptiPlex aren't the fastest or cheapest but they're well built. Years ago I had to put a special card for a Scada app to talk to a PLC in an OptiPlex and there was so much dust on the motherboard that you couldn't see any of the componets. This was also in an area that the temp exceeded 100 degrees. | |
