| Maybe a bad heart, the stress of moving her and change of place exacerbated the problem. We had a heifer this year trailed along all year. Weaned and brought home. Within the first two weeks she filled up with fluid in front legs and brisket, started to go downhill on us. Vet checked her out and told us to put her down. Figured a bad heart and her time was up. He proved it to us by draining fluid off her, we still gave a her a few more days but was in obvious distress. Also don't think it was brisket disease (BHMD) because she had been under 5,000' elevation for over close to a month. | |
